Oyaide Male AC Plugs

Oyaide Male AC Plugs. The Oyaide's, in the short time that they have been available here in the US, have established themselves as the premiere brand of "audio grade" AC ends.

4 different versions are available, and each sound slightly different. All the plated plugs start with a base of deoxidized Phosphor Bronze, which is then highly polished, twice, to which the plating is then applied, which is then polished twice again. A brief description and picture of each can be viewed below.

• P-004. Beryllium Base. Palladium over twice polished Beryllium, then topped off with Platinum over the twice polished Palladium.
  

• P-046. Gold/Palladium. Gold (1.5 microns) over twice polished Bronze, then topped off with Palladium (.3 micron) over the twice polished Gold. The ultimate in transparency. If your system is very revealing, but at the same time *very* neutral, these are the plugs for you.
  

• P-079--highly polished Bronze with a 2.0 micron plating of direct 24k Gold. We prefer the Gold plated version with solid state, the P-079 (red body), which is very detailed with a just a tiny hint of warmth.
  

• P-037--.3 micron of Rhodium over 1.5 micron of Silver, twice polished With tubes, the P-037 (blue body), is the ticket! Can sound slightly tipped up in systems that lean that way.

Oyaide M1 male AC plug. This plug uses the same contacts as the P-004, but has a much more beefy and inert shell.

As you can see from the above pictures, Oyaide has gone to heroic efforts to minimize vibrational influence on the plug. We think they have done a stellar job.
