These employ a heavy duty wire clamping mechanism that allows the use of up to 4mm diameter bare wire. The body is contructed from a very rigid nylon/fiberglass mixture that in very "dead" acoustically. Of course, all the metal parts are processed by Furutech Alpha process, which includes deep cryogenic treatment and demagnetization. Furutech really outdid themselves on these. As these are quite a bit larger than a "standard" IEC inlet, be aware that you may have to use a nibbler or file and enlarge the hole your current inlet is in order to allow these to fit.
